I was zipping down the road frogging back one stitch and
fixing an error in my scarf. I believe I also asked you to stay tuned for the next installment. One day I'm going to be a real blogger and trips will be chronicled in a somewhat orderly and timely manner...and honestly for that matter since the photographic content of this post was not actually taken on Day 2, but on a previous trip.
So as I said, day two was a day in which Offspring and I wandered around campus and I generally ignored my projects. Offspring went into full spaz mode and wanted to get her books, so being the weak parent I agreed.
Used Italian book: $96
Workbook for Italian class $53
There were two Latin books and something else for a grand total of close to $400.
The whole business of college textbooks has got to somehow be connected to organized crime. Seriously.
Anyway. Offspring and I spent most of the day wandering around campus. No, I did not do this last year when she was a freshman. With the Stray still in Montgomery, I never really felt like she left. She was home every week-end.
Now I feel like she's gone. *sniff*
The University of Alabama is just a gorgeous campus; full of history and tradition (and there's a Starbucks.)
Now, I keep promising knitting content. I best get to it.
Getting back to work has been wonderful, but it has taken a toll on my knitting time. When I do sit down to knit, I find I can't handle much more than garter stitch...maybe stockinette or ribbing, but that's pushing it. The weird part is I have a terrible case of startitis. In the last few weeks I've started a lot of projects (and please pardon my laziness in not linking to anything.) I actually finished the starred items:
Druid Mittens from the fall VK
Burp cloth*
Pocketbook slippers*
Log Cabin Baby Blanket
A one skein scarf*
Hey Teach!
No photographic evidence for this yet.
I've got the yarn for another project and daily I fight the urge to start something else.
